I had an excellent sleep last night
It was almost over 8 hours and I am feeling really great. But only a few days ago i sometimes found it harder to get a good sleep. Reason?
A scattered mind actually. Scattered mind is not only a problem of mine. It is the cause of bad sleep for thousands and millions of people around the world I will tell you another day why our mind becomes scattered. Sometimes it became so difficult for me to get asleep within a short time after i got awakened in the middle of night. What did i do then? Sometimes i just hoped that i will fall asleep again, sometimes i walked for some minutes, sometimes in a worse case i listened to some kind of slow music also
. Most of the times they worked and in very rare cases even these didn’t work.
But very luckily i came to know about a very easy and extremely effective technique which have given me a very strong reason not to worry a bit about this awakening problem at night during sleep
So what is that little magic that is helping me now?
Have you ever done meditation? I hope you did. Till now i am not a regular meditation doing type of person. But i am feeling that i need to be that kind of person and i am working about being that type of person. From meditation i have known a very common technique used to relax our body and mind known as Deep Breathing. Ever done it?
Deep breathing is indeed extremely helpful to relax your mind and it helps a lot to make your mind focused instead of being scattered. It is really easy to do. You have to slowly take air during breathing for a longer period of time than you do during a normal breathing, then you have to hold that air in your lungs for 5 to 10 seconds depending upon your comfort level and finally you have to release the air a bit slower than the rate you took it in. That’s it. Your deep breathing for 1 cycle is done. Continue this deep breathing cycles for some times and you will find your mind focused than before, you will feel more relaxed and you will be asleep.
Try this technique from today if you have trouble awakening and not getting asleep shortly after getting awakened. It is a very effective technique. I am telling this from my personal experience of almost one month. I know how painful it is for you to be awakened at the middle of the night for quite a some time while you are trying to be in sleep. If your sleep completely move away for being awakened then the situation becomes even worse.
So if you are not getting any better results by trying other things then you should try deep breathing. I hope you will find this technique really effective.
Happy sleeping
